All-Natural and Minimal Makeup Routine

I used to think that makeup ingredients didn’t matter. I had switched my skincare, my household cleaners, and so many other things in my life to all-natural options. But I always thought that makeup just sat on my skin. How could that be harmful? It wasn’t until I learned that what goes on your skin goes in your skin, that I realized I needed to pay attention to the makeup that I was using. Foundation

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be using a powder foundation, I would have never believed you! I always thought that powder foundations were cakey, looked unnatural, and had poor coverage.

Now that I’ve found Burt’s Bees Mattifying Powder Foundation, I am a believer that powder foundation can be beautiful and look natural!

How I Use Burt’s Bees Powder Foundation

I use a dense foundation buffing brush to apply my foundation. Then, once I’ve applied a layer over my entire face (including my eyelids), I get an eyeshadow-sized brush and use that with the same foundation as a spot concealer. I’ll apply it to acne spots, and also underneath my eyes to cover dark circles.

Eyeshadow

Eyeliner

Blush

Lip Color

How I Use Burt’s Bees Squeezy Tinted Balm

I squeeze a small amount onto the tip of my finger, and I rub it onto my lips as needed.

I would like to note that because this is a lip balm and not a lipstick, it doesn’t last all day. However, I am willing to reapply as necessary because I just love the color and formula. I sometimes keep an extra in my purse for on-the-go use!

Makeup Brushes

All-Over Foundation

For applying my powder foundation, I use the EcoTools Buffing Brush.

Spot Concealing

How To Clean Makeup Brushes

I use Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap to wash my makeup brushes. It gives the brushes a deep clean and makes them look new!

I simply put some of the soap in the palm of my hand, swirl the makeup brush around in it, and rinse clean! Repeat if necessary.

All-Natural Makeup Routine Step-by-Step

1. Apply Burt’s Bees Mattifying Powder Foundation all over the face using the EcoTools Buffing Brush.
2. Use the flat brush from the EcoTools Eye Enhancing Duo Set to directly apply that same foundation as a concealer for imperfections and dark underlies.
